Like most rice, basmati rice is available in brown and white, the white version is produced by removing the bran (the outer husk of each grain) from the brown version, as well as the germ, which is the seed that causes the rice plant to grow, leaving the white starchy portion.
Cooking Instructions:
Rinse, then simmer on medium heat for around 15 mins.
Drain and let stand with the lid on for 5 mins
