Weigh

To begin with, you'll weigh each empty container, whether it's a jar or a drawstring bag. Our free paper bags are the only containers you don't need to weigh first.

The scales will show you what to do on the screen, (or grab one of us to help you!). A barcode sticker will print out, and you'll place this on the bottom of your empty container. The barcode subtracts the weight of your container when you come to weigh it again once it's been filled.

Next, you'll go back to the scales to weigh your filled containers. The screen will ask you to scan the barcode first to deduct the weight of your container.

Pay

Take your labelled containers to the till to make payment. And that's it, you've stocked up on food, and you've saved more plastic from reaching our oceans!

While we operate a self-service store, we are always happy to help you find and weigh your goods. And if there's something else you'd love to see at The Refill Room, we have a clipboard at the checkout for you to let us know!
